Our month in Western Australia had come to an end, it was time to pack up those rucksacks and bid farewell to Eilidh, Baxter and Misty the cat. We were both sad to leave but we had to head east. We absolutely loved our time in the west.
Certainly Western Australia is under sold and in the shadow of its big brother, the mighty East coast. We highly recommend taking the time to explore the west. The beaches are definitely some of the best in the world, we were fortunate to visit many of them and often found our only company being the local wildlife, which once included a kangaroo.
Our highlights include: snorkelling in the Ningaloo Reef, bush walking in Kalbarri, swimming in Shell beach, a close encounter with a wild ‘Roo, sampling wine, chocolate and cheese in Margaret River and chilling in Freo.
We have selected our favourite photos. Please enjoy.
We travelled from Perth to Denmark and Albany, Through Rottnest Island, Fremantle, Rockingham, Busselton, Injidup Natural Spa, Margaret River, Hamelin Bay, Augusta and more…
We took wonderful pictures of the beaches, animals, wineries and the different cities.
We even spotted a real shark at Hamelin Bay
