Monday..Tuesday.. Hampi Days!

With the wedding portion of our India trip over it was back to backpacking and exploring the wonderful sites and sounds of the sub-continent. Another early start awaited us to make our onward connection to Hampi. The 1 hour taxi ride was uneventful (for a change) and we arrived at Madgoan Railway Station with about […]

Palo…Palo…Palolem!

Palolem was the beach get away we needed after the partying in Mumbai and Baga. Once the effects of the old monk (Rum) had worn off we hit the road in 2 cars – heading to Canacona in South Goa. The journey was beautiful as we travelled close to the hinterland, the road goes inland […]

Goa-rky Park

It was an early rise heading to Mumbai airport to catch the venga bus, sorry flight to Goa to celebrate John’s 30th birthday. In our sleepy state we were failing to navigate the busy queues, ended up in the wrong airline queue and persuaded to join a quick queue (soon we realised this was a […]

A large part of the movie was shot on location in the […]

As alluded to in our previous post Pink City – Jaipur is known as the ‘pink city’. Most of the major cities in Rajasthan are associated with one hue or another and there is always a ‘colourful’ story to go with it. The city was painted pink to celebrate the visit of King Edward VII […]

Taj Mahal photo shoot!

Day 2 in India began with the pilgrimage to the Taj Mahal in Agra (some 200 miles to the south of Delhi). Our drivers name was Raj who not only does he own a farm but he must be a Hollywood stunt driver in his spare time as he tore down to Agra through a […]

One Step Beyond….

After a bittersweet farewell to Greenwich and a Sunday Roast with friends, we departed for Heathrow Airport Terminal 4. Massive queues awaited, but a timely sign led the way. Boarding a Jet Airways flight to Delhi marked the start of our adventure, with a chance encounter with Suggs from Madness adding to the excitement ahead.
