We had a bittersweet farewell to Greenwich. Our bellies stuffed from a Sunday Roast shared with our friends we put on our trusted Osprey backpacks and headed for Heathrow Airport Terminal 4

The queues in the Check-In Hall were massive, a taste of what we would experience in India but out of the corner of her eye Karen spotted our salvation..a sign.

The first leg of our adventure would turn out to be our longest as we boarded our Jet Airways flight from LHR to DEL (Delhi) – thus bypassing Europe, the Middle East, Afghanistan and Pakistan.

As we dashed for the gate we had enough time to add a 2nd celebrity to our lists.. Graham McPherson aka Suggs from Ska band Madness! This was a good omen for the adventure that lay ahead.
