Highlands and Low tides
In September 2022, a trip to the Scottish Highlands began with stops in Glasgow and Loch Lomond. The journey featured scenic views, notable sites like the Glenfinnan Monument, and the famous Jacobite Steam Train. The adventure continued in Balloch, where the family explored nature trails, enjoyed a boat cruise, and visited Luss village, rich in history.
Three Capes Track Day 4
In February 2020, our journey on the Three Capes Track was a breathtaking adventure. From bonding with fellow trekkers to conquering Mount Fortescue and marveling at ancient rainforests and coastal cliffs, every step was a revelation. As we left for home, little did we know that it would be our last trip for a while. This unforgettable experience comes highly recommended.

In January 2020, we embarked on a treacherous journey to explore Cape Pillar, encountering everything from misty mornings with screeching cockatoos to a snake-infested boardwalk. As we approached the Blade and Tasman Island’s desolate lighthouse, we pondered the island’s tragic history. The landscape also revealed its rich Aboriginal and colonial past. Despite the hardships, we pressed on, eager for our next adventure at Retakunna. Who knew what tomorrow would bring?

Three Capes Track Day 1
In January 2020, the author embarked on a 4-day hike on the Three Capes Track in Tasmania, requiring meticulous preparation and a boat transfer from Hobart. The track, a significant investment, offers a rugged coastal walk through diverse landscapes and visits to historic sites. The journey began with an eco-cruise and a stay in the first hut, with plans to tackle challenging conditions ahead.
