Wonder World!

Our last full day before heading to Danang. What would we do? For the last few days this has been staring back at us in the distance:

Vinpearl is Vietnam’s answer to DisneyLand and the good thing about it is that every activity is free (once you pay 500,000 Dong entry fee).

But the best thing about it is the journey. The cable car is over 3300 metres long and 115 metres high making it the longest over-water cable car in the world. We decided this was the place to film our Happy 21st Birthday video for Mikey in Pittsburgh. The filming distracted John from how high up he was, Karen was amazed he was on this cable car after previous dramas in Langkawi .

Amazing!

Operated by Vietnam’s only USD Billionaire Pham Nhat Vuong, it also contains Vietnam’s only 4D cinema and the largest Wave Pool in South East Asia.

We spent the day up and down water slides, gliding along the Lazy River listening to 1980s Soviet Pop Music before heading up to the Bumper Cars (Scottish: Dodgems) and the arcade.

The Arcade was brilliant. Full of Beat-Em up games and Time Crisis Shoot-Em ups. They also had the basketball games and this ignited fierce competition between St. Mary’s U-17 Power Forward and the Netball Goalie from St. John’s Primary School.

Wow John is colour coordinated (for once)

As we were leaving we passed some performing monkeys which were being treated a little cruelly. If they escape and encourage other monkeys to rise up then we only have ourselves to blame.

After three months off Karen decided that we must start running again 🙂 (This is probably due to seeing Judit Rago in Hong Kong in 6 weeks)

Sweaty Bettys!!

Under the street lights and illuminated beachfront tower we pounded out 5km in 30 degrees heat (this is at 7pm).

Nha Trang was a great place to visit and there are some historical sights such as the Po Nagar Cham Towers and the Long Son Pakoda, but after 3 months on the road we just wanted some pottering time.

Besides someone needed to buy a new hat!
