In September 2022, we took our son on a 7-week trip to Europe, stopping in Doha. Packing was a challenge with all the snacks and baby essentials. Doha amazed us with its modern vibe and World Cup energy. We explored cool spots like the Old Port and the National Museum, enjoying our brief but fun stopover.
Orange County
The June long weekend trip to Orange in New South Wales involved a four-hour drive from Sydney, with stops at Wentworth Falls and local attractions. The family explored historical sites, farmers’ markets, lakes, and wineries, while enjoying the scenic beauty and vibrant autumn colors. The return journey included a visit to the Bathurst Rail Museum, ideal for children.
Port Stephens
In March 2021, the family embarked on their first road trip with their 5-month-old son to Port Stephens, 160km north of Sydney. They stayed at The Anchorage in Corlette Point, enjoying suite rooms and exploring the region, despite unpredictable weather. Highlights included Birubi Point, Stockton Beach, and a visit to the Murrays Brewing Co. The trip was punctuated by stormy weather and road closures, necessitating an extended stay.
