In Stephen’s Port

In January 2023, Iain and Bernadette visited Australia, exploring Sydney and Port Stephens. They enjoyed various beaches, including Fingal Bay and Shoal Bay, noted for historical significance and natural beauty. Their trip included visits to the Port Stephen’s Koala Sanctuary and a unique lighthouse café, reflecting on a historical naval base plan that never materialized.

Port Stephens

In March 2021, the family embarked on their first road trip with their 5-month-old son to Port Stephens, 160km north of Sydney. They stayed at The Anchorage in Corlette Point, enjoying suite rooms and exploring the region, despite unpredictable weather. Highlights included Birubi Point, Stockton Beach, and a visit to the Murrays Brewing Co. The trip was punctuated by stormy weather and road closures, necessitating an extended stay.
